How our love story began
Our love journey has had multiple starts, stops and detours along the way but we've finally reached the happily-ever-after stretch of the road. Cathy fell in love with Bob in 2nd grade, Bob reciprocated in 8th grade, we dated thru HS then went our separate ways, reconnecting now and then through the years. Thirty years after graduation, we met in November, got engaged in December, married in January. At long last the timing was right and our last 22 years together made the wait worth it!
Our favorite shared memory as a couple…
We love the surprises! A few years ago, Bob surprised Cathy with an historic 1880’s home that we turned into a 5 star B&B. It had always been Cathy's dream to host guests and Bob excelled as the chief cook and bottle washer famous for his omelettes and bacon. We never met a guest we didn't like and we made countless friends throughout our years there. We recently sold the B&B and are now enjoying our retirement years, excited to be a part of America's Favorite Couple!
What would we do with the prize money…
We are both retired but not too tired to dream of a trip to Alaska (the only state we have not yet been to). In addition to Alaska, we would like to take a scenic car trip to visit our four adult children and two grandchildren in Arizona, California, Colorado and Ohio. Finally, we would like to thank the program sponsors, LA Food Bank and Oceana, with a donation from the winnings.
